Construction photos, contractors and trades
Construction photo evidence, in every tradesperson's pocket.
Electrician, plumber, builder, drywaller, tiler, painter, roofer, landscaper: your site photos become timestamped, geolocated evidence anchored on a blockchain. Thirty seconds on site, and a dated answer to “it was already like that”.
In construction, the dispute always comes afterwards: a customer refusing an invoice, damage that “was already there”, a snag at handover, another trade blaming its defect on you. When it is time to prove it, all that is often left are undated photos on a phone. Proov-It turns your site photos into construction photo evidence whose integrity can be verified.
The principle fits in one gesture: you take the photo or video directly in the mobile app. It is born dated and geolocated, and its fingerprint is anchored on a public blockchain. You receive a PDF certificate that anyone can verify, without a Proov-It account. An in-app capture cannot be swapped for an image taken elsewhere: that is what makes the proof strong.
Up to 20 files of 100 MB per submission: a flat before work, an electrical panel before and after, a roof from every angle or your handover photos all fit in a single proof. Your crew submit from their phones, you find everything by site in your workspace. And the first proof is free.

Trades
Construction photos: what each trade certifies.
A few concrete examples. The principle is the same for everyone: a photo or video taken in the mobile app, dated, located, with integrity anyone can check.
Electrician
The panel before and after the job, compliant connections, the safety measures recorded the same day.
Plumber, heating engineer
The leak found, the part replaced, the water meter or pressure on arrival and departure.
Builder, mason
Foundations, reinforcement before pouring, the condition of party walls before opening up.
Drywaller
Ducts and insulation before the partitions are closed: what nobody will be able to see afterwards.
Tiler
The screed and substrate before laying, flatness, the layout approved with the customer.
Painter
The condition of surfaces before work, existing cracks, the finish at handover.
Joiner
Measurements taken on site, the finished installation, the adjustment of openings at handover.
Roofer, waterproofing
The roof before and after, the details treated, the condition after a storm for the insurer.
Landscaper, groundworks
The ground before excavation, the utilities uncovered, the property boundaries respected.
Use cases
Construction photo evidence: when it saves you.
Photos before work starts
Cracks, damp, existing installations: freeze the initial condition so earlier damage is not blamed on you.
Concealed work before closing up
What will be enclosed in a wall, a ceiling or a screed: prove it was done, and done properly.
Progress photos and payment claims
Dated proof at every key stage, to support your progress claims and deposits.
Handover and snagging photos
The finished work, clean and compliant, on handover day. Then every snag cleared, dated.
Proving another trade's defect
Prove the defect came from another contractor, or existed before you arrived.
Unpaid invoices and site disputes
An evidence file ready for the mediator, the insurer or the court.
Why Proov-It
Why building firms adopt it.
Thirty seconds on site
No forms, no jargon. Photo, comment, submit. It works with gloves on and in the rain.
The whole crew equipped
Every worker submits from their own phone, with a role and credits. The boss finds everything by site.
A trivial cost compared with a dispute
From €8.33 excl. VAT per month yearly for a sole trader. Far less than a formal report, infinitely less than a lawsuit.
How it works
A proof in three steps.
No jargon, no technical skills. You submit or you capture, we certify.
Choose or capture
Documents, photos, videos. Or take a photo or video directly in the app.
Add the context
A comment, tags, a folder. To organise your proofs and find them easily.
Submit
You receive a PDF certificate attesting to the file's existence and integrity on the anchoring date and, for a capture made in the app, the geolocation recorded at that moment.
Does it hold up in court?
In France, where Proov-It is based, evidence may be brought by any means unless the law requires a specific form of proof (Article 1358 of the French Civil Code). The EU eIDAS Regulation, which applies in every Member State, adds a non-discrimination principle: an electronic timestamp cannot be denied legal effect solely because it is not qualified (Article 41). In 2025, the Marseille judicial court (20 March 2025, RG 23/00046) relied on blockchain timestamps, recorded by a bailiff and supported by other evidence, to establish the prior existence of creations. It is a first-instance decision: it does not make a blockchain anchor sufficient evidence on its own.
A Proov-It certificate can be produced as evidence; the court assesses its weight. We attest to the anchoring date, the integrity of the file and, for a capture made in the app, the recorded geolocation, not the truth of its content.
Frequently asked questions
What we are often asked.
Do timestamped site photos replace a bailiff's or notary's report?
No, and that is not the aim. A formal report remains enhanced evidence. Proov-It is the everyday reflex for documenting yourself, at low cost, anything that could be disputed. In France, evidence may in principle be brought by any means: your certificate is a piece of evidence, and the court assesses its weight.
Can my customer or the expert verify my site photos?
Yes. The certificate contains the file's fingerprint and the blockchain transaction identifier. Anyone can verify its integrity, without a Proov-It account.
Can I certify photos on a site with no signal?
Yes. With no signal, you prepare the submission in the mobile app (photo, video, audio); certification is completed as soon as you are back online. The date that counts is the anchoring date, not the shooting date.
How many proofs does a construction firm need?
Count one submission per site and per significant event. The First plan (60 submissions, 5 users) covers a tradesperson with a small crew; Pro and Premium follow larger firms. See pricing.
