French legaltech for digital evidence

Proof, before the dispute. That is the whole idea.

Proov-It was born from a simple conviction: evidence created at the right moment is worth more than a long lawsuit. We make that evidence available to everyone, in thirty seconds.

Why Proov-It exists

A builder handing over a site, a tenant returning a flat, a designer sharing a mock-up, an expert recording damage: they all have one thing in common. One day, someone may dispute a date, a place, a condition, or claim that a file was altered.

Until now, protecting yourself meant an expensive bailiff's report, a registered letter, or nothing at all. Proov-It changes that: a photo, a video, a document, uploaded or captured in the app, become a timestamped, geolocated proof anchored on a blockchain. For under €2, in thirty seconds.

What we certify, and what we do not promise

We certify the anchoring date and the integrity of the file, and we record its geolocation at the time of capture. We do not guarantee the truth of what a piece of content shows, and we do not claim to replace a judge: a Proov-It certificate is a piece of evidence whose weight is assessed by the court. That honesty is our best guarantee.

Does it hold up in court?

In France, where Proov-It is based, evidence may be brought by any means unless the law requires a specific form of proof (Article 1358 of the French Civil Code). The EU eIDAS Regulation, which applies in every Member State, adds a non-discrimination principle: an electronic timestamp cannot be denied legal effect solely because it is not qualified (Article 41). In 2025, the Marseille judicial court (20 March 2025, RG 23/00046) relied on blockchain timestamps, recorded by a bailiff and supported by other evidence, to establish the prior existence of creations. It is a first-instance decision: it does not make a blockchain anchor sufficient evidence on its own.

A Proov-It certificate can be produced as evidence; the court assesses its weight. We attest to the anchoring date, the integrity of the file and, for a capture made in the app, the recorded geolocation, not the truth of its content.
