Proof of work, tradespeople and technicians
Proof of work completed, before the customer disputes it.
Electrician, plumber, heating engineer, painter, repair or maintenance technician: prove what you did, where, when, and in what condition you found the premises, with dated before-and-after photos. Thirty seconds, from your phone.
A customer disputing an invoice, damage that “was already there”, a snag at handover, a neighbour blaming your site: the dispute always comes afterwards, when it is too late to prove anything. Proov-It gives you proof of work completed at the moment you do the job.
You take before-and-after photos, or a video, directly in the mobile app. They are timestamped, geolocated and anchored on a blockchain. You get a PDF certificate that your customer, their insurer, an expert or a judge can verify. Because the capture is born inside the app, it cannot be swapped for a photo taken elsewhere or edited.
Up to 20 files of 100 MB per submission: the condition before work, the before-and-after video of an electrical panel, the signed job sheet, all fit in a single proof of visit. No need to know anything about blockchain: you take the photo, we certify.

Use cases
Proof of work: what a tradesperson certifies.
Photos before the job
Cracks, damp, existing installations: freeze the initial condition so that earlier damage is not blamed on you.
Dated site progress
Dated proof at every key stage, useful for progress claims and deposits.
Proof of visit on call-outs
The fault found, the repair done, arrival and departure times: everything dated and located.
After photos and handover
The finished work, clean and compliant, on the day it is handed over. Your best answer to a late complaint.
Defects by another trade
Prove that the defect existed before you arrived, or that it came from another contractor.
Unpaid invoices and disputes
A file of dated evidence, ready to produce before a mediator, an insurer or a court.
Why Proov-It
Three reasons to adopt it.
In-app capture, not an uploaded file
The photo is born inside Proov-It, dated and geolocated. A retrieved or edited image cannot be slipped in. That is what makes the proof strong.
Thirty seconds on site
No forms, no jargon. Photo, comment, submit. The certificate arrives on its own.
A trivial cost compared with a dispute
One token per submission for the sole trader, a plan with submissions included for the company. Far less than a bailiff's report, infinitely less than a lawsuit.
How it works
A proof in three steps.
No jargon, no technical skills. You submit or you capture, we certify.
Choose or capture
Documents, photos, videos. Or take a photo or video directly in the app.
Add the context
A comment, tags, a folder. To organise your proofs and find them easily.
Submit
You receive a PDF certificate attesting to the file's existence and integrity on the anchoring date and, for a capture made in the app, the geolocation recorded at that moment.
Does it hold up in court?
In France, where Proov-It is based, evidence may be brought by any means unless the law requires a specific form of proof (Article 1358 of the French Civil Code). The EU eIDAS Regulation, which applies in every Member State, adds a non-discrimination principle: an electronic timestamp cannot be denied legal effect solely because it is not qualified (Article 41). In 2025, the Marseille judicial court (20 March 2025, RG 23/00046) relied on blockchain timestamps, recorded by a bailiff and supported by other evidence, to establish the prior existence of creations. It is a first-instance decision: it does not make a blockchain anchor sufficient evidence on its own.
A Proov-It certificate can be produced as evidence; the court assesses its weight. We attest to the anchoring date, the integrity of the file and, for a capture made in the app, the recorded geolocation, not the truth of its content.
Frequently asked questions
What we are often asked.
Do before-and-after photos replace a bailiff's report?
No, and that is not the aim. A report drawn up by a bailiff (in France, a commissaire de justice) remains enhanced evidence. Proov-It is an accessible, affordable alternative for documenting yourself, day to day, anything that could be disputed. In France, evidence may in principle be brought by any means: your certificate can be produced as evidence, and the court assesses its weight.
Can my customer verify the proof of work?
Yes. The certificate contains the file's fingerprint and the blockchain transaction identifier. Anyone can verify its integrity, without a Proov-It account.
Do I need signal to prove a job?
Not to capture. With no signal, you prepare the submission in the mobile app (photo, video, audio); certification is completed as soon as you are back online. The date that counts is the anchoring date, not the shooting date.
Can my technicians submit from their phones?
Yes. The First, Pro and Premium plans allow several users on one account, with roles and credit allocation.
