Build your clients' digital evidence, before litigation.
Dated exhibits, verifiable integrity, an established timeline: give your clients the tool to build digital evidence from their photos, documents and web pages, starting today.
The best case file is the one built before the dispute. Too often, a client arrives with undated photos, editable screenshots and memories. Proov-It lets you give them, from the very first meeting, a simple method for building digital evidence that is dated and intact.
Photos, videos, documents, but also web pages, listings and online reviews: everything that could disappear or change is frozen at a given moment, timestamped (RFC 3161) and anchored on a public blockchain. The PDF certificate lets the opposing party and the court verify its integrity without going through Proov-It.
Under French law, unless a specific form of proof is required, evidence may be brought by any means (Article 1358 of the French Civil Code); the EU eIDAS Regulation prohibits dismissing an electronic timestamp solely because it is not qualified (Article 41); and in 2025 the Marseille judicial court relied on blockchain timestamps, supported by other evidence, to establish the prior existence of creations (20 March 2025, RG 23/00046). We remain measured: a Proov-It certificate is a piece of evidence whose weight the court assesses. Which is exactly what you ask of an exhibit.

Use cases
Digital evidence: what your clients certify.
Defects and poor workmanship
Dated photos and videos of the defect, its progression and its repair.
Delays and abandoned sites
The state of progress on dates established by the timestamp, to reconstruct the timeline.
Web page and listing capture
The state of a listing, a review or a website at a given moment, before it is edited or removed.
Correspondence and documents received
Quotes, letters, messages: freeze the content and the date of receipt.
Self-documented findings
What the client can record themselves, immediately, pending a formal report if needed.
Prior existence and intellectual property
Creations, mock-ups, texts: prove that they existed on a given date.
Why Proov-It
Why lawyers recommend Proov-It.
A method to hand to your clients
Thirty seconds to create a proof, no technical skills. Your clients document properly, you argue on the documents.
Integrity the other side can check itself
SHA-256 fingerprint, timestamp, blockchain transaction: verification is public and independent of Proov-It.
A measured legal position
We do not promise automatic admissibility. We provide dated, intact items, and we say so clearly.
How it works
A proof in three steps.
No jargon, no technical skills. You submit or you capture, we certify.
Choose or capture
Documents, photos, videos. Or take a photo or video directly in the app.
Add the context
A comment, tags, a folder. To organise your proofs and find them easily.
Submit
You receive a PDF certificate attesting to the file's existence and integrity on the anchoring date and, for a capture made in the app, the geolocation recorded at that moment.
Does it hold up in court?
In France, where Proov-It is based, evidence may be brought by any means unless the law requires a specific form of proof (Article 1358 of the French Civil Code). The EU eIDAS Regulation, which applies in every Member State, adds a non-discrimination principle: an electronic timestamp cannot be denied legal effect solely because it is not qualified (Article 41). In 2025, the Marseille judicial court (20 March 2025, RG 23/00046) relied on blockchain timestamps, recorded by a bailiff and supported by other evidence, to establish the prior existence of creations. It is a first-instance decision: it does not make a blockchain anchor sufficient evidence on its own.
A Proov-It certificate can be produced as evidence; the court assesses its weight. We attest to the anchoring date, the integrity of the file and, for a capture made in the app, the recorded geolocation, not the truth of its content.
Frequently asked questions
What we are often asked.
What is the legal value of Proov-It digital evidence?
It is a piece of evidence, produced under the principle that evidence may be brought by any means (Article 1358 of the French Civil Code), whose weight the court assesses. The electronic timestamp benefits from the non-discrimination principle of Article 41 of the eIDAS Regulation. Proov-It is not a qualified timestamping provider and does not claim to be.
What exactly does the service certify?
The anchoring date, the file's integrity (any change breaks the fingerprint) and the geolocation recorded at capture. Not the truth of the content, nor the author's identity in the sense of a qualified signature.
Can I use Proov-It for my firm's own documents?
Yes. Submit the documents you receive, freeze your letters and submissions at their sending date, share evidence with colleagues with acknowledgement of receipt. Business plans include several users.
Is the data confidential?
Files are hosted in France and encrypted server-side. Only the fingerprint, which reveals nothing about the content, is written to the blockchain.
