Photo, video, audio, web page
Certify a photo, a video, a web page: everything Proov-It does.
Certify a photo, a video, an audio file, a web page or a document, then share it, have it signed and file it: every feature serves solid evidence, easy to create and easy to verify.
Certify
Prove that content existed, on that date, unaltered.
An image or a video can be edited, cut, fabricated. Proov-It freezes your content and proves that it existed on a date, in a place, and has not changed since.
In-app capture, the strongest proof
Unlike an uploaded file, an in-app capture is born inside the application. No more images retrieved or generated elsewhere and then submitted as evidence. Photo or video, including what is displayed on another screen.
StrongestFreeze a web page at a given moment
Capture the state of a page, a listing or a review before it is edited or deleted.
CertifiedCertify a photo
Prove that a photo is the one taken at that moment, and that it has not been edited since.
CertifiedCertify a video
A dated and geolocated video in which any later change can be detected.
CertifiedCertify an audio recording
An authentic, timestamped sound recording, unaltered since it was captured.
CertifiedA PDF certificate anyone can verify
Every submission generates a certificate that any third party can verify, without going through Proov-It.
VerifiableTwo ways to create a proof
Upload a file, or capture in the app.
Uploading a file
You choose an existing document, photo or video. Proov-It computes its fingerprint, timestamps it and anchors it. You prove that this file, as is, existed on the date of submission.
Available in the WebApp and the mobile apps.
In-app capture
The photo, video or audio is born inside the app, with its date and geolocation. No more images retrieved or generated elsewhere and then submitted as evidence. This is the strongest proof.
Available in the iOS and Android apps.
For businesses
A proof, then a real working tool.
From the Starter plan, the business workspace turns your submissions into usable case files.
Sharing, signature and third-party validation
Send a proof for signature or validation, with acknowledgement of receipt, reminders and a timestamped audit trail.
Team collaboration
Several users on one account, with roles, permissions, invitations and credit allocation.
Folders, categories and tags
Organise your proofs like your client files. Find anything in seconds.
Document comparison
Detect the slightest alteration between two versions of the same file.
Submission templates and custom PDFs
Your fields, your logo, your workspaces. A proof in your own image, ready to be produced.
API and Blockchain-as-a-Service
Integrate certification into your tools: documentation, webhooks, user management.
The certificate
What every PDF certificate contains.
Every submission generates an electronically signed certificate. It summarises the information about the recorded content and lets any third party verify the proof without going through Proov-It.
- The anchoring date and time, timestamped (RFC 3161).
- The geolocation, given for information at the time of capture.
- The SHA-256 fingerprint of each file: any change breaks it.
- The blockchain transaction identifier and a verification link.
- The submitter's details and the context (comment, tags, folder).
The only authoritative date is the anchoring date, not the date the content was created. Proov-It certifies the existence, date and integrity of a file, not the truth of what it shows.
Does it hold up in court?
In France, where Proov-It is based, evidence may be brought by any means unless the law requires a specific form of proof (Article 1358 of the French Civil Code). The EU eIDAS Regulation, which applies in every Member State, adds a non-discrimination principle: an electronic timestamp cannot be denied legal effect solely because it is not qualified (Article 41). In 2025, the Marseille judicial court (20 March 2025, RG 23/00046) relied on blockchain timestamps, recorded by a bailiff and supported by other evidence, to establish the prior existence of creations. It is a first-instance decision: it does not make a blockchain anchor sufficient evidence on its own.
A Proov-It certificate can be produced as evidence; the court assesses its weight. We attest to the anchoring date, the integrity of the file and, for a capture made in the app, the recorded geolocation, not the truth of its content.
Who it is for
Built for anyone whose evidence may be challenged.
A date, a place, the condition of a property or the integrity of a file: as soon as it can be disputed, Proov-It freezes it.

Choose or capture, add context, submit: SHA-256 hash, RFC 3161 timestamp, blockchain anchoring. Plus how anyone can verify the certificate.
Pricing
Individuals: 1 token = 1 proof, no subscription. Businesses: Starter, First, Pro and Premium with proofs included, two months free on yearly billing.
Timestamped photo evidence
eIDAS Article 41, national rules of evidence, the court's assessment: what gives a photo weight as evidence, and how a timestamp makes it stronger.
Timestamp comparison
Non-qualified timestamp, qualified timestamp, report by a public officer: evidential weight, cost and use of each tool, to choose for each case.
